Valley Regional Imaging Selects Zotec Partners for Revenue Cycle and Practice Management

Continual RCM Technology Developments and Customer Service Key to Group’s Decision

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Zotec Partners (Zotec), the industry leader in radiology revenue cycle and practice management services, announces a revenue cycle and practice management (RCM) agreement with Valley Regional Imaging (VRI), an independent outpatient imaging center providing a wide range of radiology services for patients and referring physicians in North Carolina, encompassing the greater Fayetteville/Cumberland County area. Since 2007, Zotec has provided revenue cycle and practice management services to VRI’s operating partner, Valley Radiology, a group providing quality medical imaging for hospital patients in Fayetteville, Angier and beyond for more than 50 years. In the new agreement with VRI, Zotec will provide automated RCM technology and processes specifically adapted to meet the imaging center’s complex and unique billing arrangements.

VRI is committed to providing the highest quality imaging services in the most customer-focused environment, where every patient is treated with the personalized care and attention they deserve. It offers Women’s Imaging Services, CT, Digital and 3D Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Radiology and Fluoroscopy, and Ultrasound. VRI's 23 licensed Radiologic Technologists are certified by theAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologistsand are experienced in all of the latest imaging techniques.

VRI’s Billing Manager, Matthew D. Flynn, RCC notes Zotec consistently upgrades and maintains revenue cycle management technology to meet VRI’s needs. He says, “Zotec has the ability to adapt its proprietary technology to several unique billing arrangements we have, while also helping us establish and improve relationships with patients, payers and governmental entities.”

According to Harry Ameredes, M.D., Valley radiology president and board member of VRI, Zotec’s customer service is also second-to-none in the revenue cycle management industry. “Zotec’s team works very hard to understand the ins and outs of our business and create processes around those, especially as we tackle new patient-consumer trends and look ahead to MACRA. Zotec works on our behalf to ensure we’re meeting billing requirements from all sides, while also helping us adjust to new value-based reporting criteria,” he remarks.

Zotec’s Founder and CEO, T. Scott Law, agrees that value-based healthcare with new MACRA and MIPS reporting requirements is an inevitable focus. “The MACRA proposed rule contains 22 performance criteria for radiology, which includes interventional radiology and radiation oncology measures. Of the four performance categories, quality metrics represent the largest bucket of radiology metrics. Zotec’s team is well-prepared to help VRI meet these metrics in order to achieve payments in 2019 and beyond,” he says. Mr. Law goes on to say it is a daily priority to work alongside VRI’s clinicians to develop processes and fine-tune the technology to improve the group’s cash flow. “Every radiology business faces different demands, which is why we work closely with each individual client to figure out how we can adjust our RCM processes and technologies to meet those demands,” he adds.

Zotec is the largest radiology revenue cycle and practice management provider in the country, with more than 20 years in the radiology industry. Zotec integrates the best people, processes and technology for fast, accurate and compliant radiology reimbursement solutions. Zotec’s proprietary processes and technology manage in excess of 80 million medical encounters across all 50 states.
