The ED Specialty Measure Set for 2021 includes 11 MIPS measures. The set is as follows:
Change for the 2021 reporting year: Measure 333: Adult Sinusitis: Computerized Tomography (CT) for Acute Sinusitis (Overuse) was retired for the 2021 MIPS reporting year and forward due to its topped out status.
CMS had previously proposed that Measure 418: Osteoporosis Management in Women Who Had A Fracture be added to the Emergency Medicine Specialty Measure Set, but due to the comments received on the proposed rule indicating it is a bad fit for Emergency Medicine, it was not added to the set.
